REPRODUCTIVE MATERNAL, NEONATAL AND CHILD HEALTH (RMNCH)
Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (RMNCH)
Effective 1 July 2020, the Government of Sindh integrated eight vertical health programs into a unified framework to improve coordination and service delivery for maternal, newborn, and child health.
The RMNCH&N Program brings together the Lady Health Workers (LHW), Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH), and
Nutrition programs to provide comprehensive care for women and
children across Sindh.
The LHW Program delivers essential primary healthcare at the community level, including maternal and child health services, family planning, immunization support, health education, and referrals.
The MNCH Program focuses on quality antenatal, delivery, postnatal,
and newborn care, management of childhood illnesses, emergency services, and referral systems.
The Nutrition Program addresses malnutrition through growth monitoring, supplementation, breastfeeding promotion, and referral of severe cases, supporting healthy growth and development.
